Gender Pay Gap

All businesses which employs 250 or more staff from April 2018 are required to report any differences in male and females hourly salary.

Each year this data is required to be reported on the Government website by the start of the new tax year.

This information is based on annual salaries of our employees and is a snapshot of their pay on the reporting date,  31st March 2019.  On the reporting date we employed 194 women and 700 men on the payroll here at Ideal Standard UK Ltd.

Gender pay gap as a mean average – -1.9%

Gender pay gap as a median average – 10.3%

Gender pay bonus as a mean average - 90.9%

Gender pay bonus as a median average - 2.5%

Women Men
Top Quartile 23.6% 76.4%
Upper Middle Quartile 10.1% 89.9%
Lower Middle Quartile 17.9% 82.1%
Lower Quartile 32.8% 67.2%

Males salary within the business are evenly distributed between the quartiles. However, the majority of females sit in the lower quartile, the job roles in this area will not attract a bonus payment.

Ideal Standard is a responsible employer and take any inequalities in gender pay seriously.

We are confident all employees are paid equally when in comparable roles.

Steps were taken in 2018 to reduce our Gender Pay Gap, this has had a positive impact on the figures.  Work will continue to impact these figures.

As a business we will look at ways of attracting and securing females into senior roles within the business.

To do this, for all roles we will aim to have a minimum of 25% of all candidates at interview stage being female.

We will review flexible working options to ensure we are supporting and encouraging females to raise a family alongside a successful and rewarding career.
